A brief description about yourself
I enjoy reading, cooking, photography and most importantly travelling! During my time in IB, I was grateful for the multiple opportunities to visit other countries. This helped broaden my horizons and consider the perspectives of different societies! I am currently a freshmen in SMU, studying Law. I hope that it would develop my critical thinking and problem solving skills to address the needs of future students!

What you hope to inculcate to your students
I hope to inspire my students to love biology and to believe in themselves! I was hesitant to take up Biology HL as I did not take Biology for the ‘O’ Levels. Regardless, I started to love the subject and really appreciated its presence in our daily lives. Through my lessons, I hope to share this appreciation for Biology. Most importantly, I want students to leave my lessons feeling more confident about a subject often perceived as content-heavy.

How your lessons are carried out
Before lessons begin, I will first check on my students to see how they are and if they have any difficulties surrounding a certain topic. During my lessons, I will first focus on the core aspects surrounding a topic before demonstrating its use in practice. This is in line with the structure of most IB Biology subjects which tests on the applications of concepts to daily life. In addition, I will also advocate general strategies that would be crucial to revision and exam- taking.
