Why I tutor
I find it fulfilling helping students make sense of concepts they initially find difficult. Having worked through challenging subjects myself, I understand how frustrating it can be when something does not click. Tutoring gives me the opportunity to break those concepts down and share approaches that have helped me. Seeing a student gain confidence and solve a problem independently is especially rewarding.
Teaching style
My teaching style is patient, structured and adaptable! I start by understanding the student’s current knowledge and where they struggle, then explain concepts using simple examples before moving on to harder questions. I encourage students to explain their reasoning so I can identify gaps in their understanding. I also use guided practice and regular revision to help them build a strong foundation and apply what they have learnt.
Impact on students
I strive for my students to improve academically while becoming more confident and independent learners. I hope to create an environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Beyond preparing them for examinations, I want to help them develop effective study habits and the confidence to approach unfamiliar problems on their own.
