Why I tutor
I want to be an IB tutor because I understand how challenging the programme can be, and I would like to help students feel more confident and supported in their learning. I am especially interested in teaching Math, Chinese B, Economics, and Chemistry because they require both strong understanding and the right exam technique, and I enjoy breaking difficult concepts down into simpler, clearer steps.
Teaching style
My teaching approach is centred on guidance rather than hand-holding. I believe students learn best when they are encouraged to think independently, while still having the right support and structure to guide them. I aim to use discussions to understand each student’s current ability, learning style, and areas of difficulty. From there, I tailor my teaching methods to suit their needs, helping them build confidence, strengthen their understanding, and gradually become more independent learners.
Impact on students
Beyond grades, I hope to generate an interest in the subjects beyond the syllabus as well as teaching them how to learn.
