Why I tutor
My Physics Teacher left me with a lesson that was - "Always focus on understanding concepts, not memorizing them. Once you memorize you can forget, but if you understand there is no such thing called 'un-understand'." That pushed me through all the confusing phases IB entails. So, I like being a tutor because a voice of support can go a long way in helping students understand themselves better which is the ultimate goal.
Teaching style
I like to discuss and learn in conversation. We're probably going through the same problems in life so the more we talk about it, the more we get through the problem. I love dissecting concepts, topics or questions down to their bones and addressing them in their foundational pieces.
Impact on students
I hope that my students take away a passion to learn, stay curious and live carefree. Learning is a small piece in the larger lifechanging model of education and greeting it with joy is what I hope students learn with me!
