Why I tutor
I like tutoring because I love seeing the moment when something that felt confusing suddenly clicks for a student. Having recently gone through the IB myself, I also know how overwhelming it can feel, so I want to make subjects feel more manageable and less intimidating. I want to help students feel more supported as they navigate through the two hectic IB years.
Teaching style
I’m quite interactive and usually start by figuring out what the student already understands before explaining anything. I like breaking difficult ideas into simpler steps, working through examples and questions together, and getting the students to try practices independently so I can see exactly where they need help.
Impact on students
I want my students to become more confident and independent, not just improve their grades. Ideally, they should leave sessions understanding how to approach unfamiliar questions, explain their own reasoning, and trust themselves more when they get stuck. I also hope my students are able to confide in me when they need help, and have me as a pillar of support through their IB journey.
