Why I tutor
I find tutoring incredibly rewarding because I get to see my students improve their skills and gain confidence in subjects they once struggled with. Seeing a student go from feeling lost to solving problems independently is always fulfilling. Tutoring is also a learning experience for me. Teaching requires constant self-reflection, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of the material. Through tutoring, I continue to grow not only as a mentor but also as a student myself.
Teaching style
My teaching style is centered around the student's needs. Every student learns differently—some learn best through practice questions, while others prefer building a strong conceptual foundation first. My role as a tutor is to understand what works best for each student and tailor my lessons accordingly. Whether a student prefers chapter-by-chapter content review, intensive exam preparation, or past year papers run through, I can prepare personalized lesson plans to maximize their learning. My classes are highly interactive, with plenty of back-and-forth discussion and questions, as I believe active participation is essential for true understanding. Practice is also a major component of my teaching. Understanding content is important, but being able to apply it effectively in exams is more crucial. Through repetition, guided examples, and exam-style questions, I aim to help students build confidence and perform at their best.
Impact on students
I strongly believe that resilience and dedication matter more than talent. While talent can provide an initial advantage, consistent effort, enthusiasm, and perseverance are what lead to concrete success in the long run. Beyond helping students achieve good grades, I hope to instill confidence, eagerness, and a growth mindset—encouraging them to approach challenges with determination and believe in their ability to improve.
